Ideal candidate will be a superstar in the making with equally balanced front-end and back-end coding capabilities. They will work in conjunction with the Webmaster and Director of Project Management to understand functionality and project requirements for a company's web applications; and translate these requirements into functional and scalable components of the web portal. Responsibilities: Development of web applications in LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP); design and implementation of MySQL databases; create web layouts in XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript (no tables allowed); wireframe new functionality and applications; usability testing.
- Requirements:
- Use of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver. Profiency in XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript Expertise in Joomla CMS Well-versed in AJAX 1+ year of hands on use in PHP. Experience using code editors along with the ability to hand-code. Good knowledge of SQL and database connectivity Understanding of the fundamental differences between various internet browsers and how that pertains to web development. Microsoft Visio knowledge is a plus. Ability to prioritize tasks Detail-oriented organizational skills Education: B.S. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent.
